Preparation
Pour one gallon of warm water (100°F/38°C) into a saucepan. Gradually blend 28 oz. of Soup Base with 1 gallon warm tap water until smooth. Add additional ingredients as desired (cooked vegetables, clams, potatoes, etc.). Heat to 180°F (DO NOT BOIL) and hold for one minute, stirring occasionally. For a Smaller Quantity (80 ounces or 0.55 gallons): In a saucepan gradually add 14 ounces of mix (4 + 1/4 cups) to 1/2 gallon of warm water (100°F/38°C), whisking thoroughly.
